The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
