Hurricane the storm is predicted to strengthen into a uncommon Category 5 storm as it veers toward the Caribbean island, causing deadly rapid inundation and mudslides.

Mudslides presently generated by the cyclone have already killed two in the country, according to local authorities.

The hurricane is forecast to pass over the island nation by midweek before traveling via the Antillas Mayores and entering the Atlantic.
