Based on a collection of short stories by the celebrated author, the program follows an improbable duo wandering the kingdoms of Westeros. One is a youthful, innocent but valiant knight called Ser Duncan the Tall, alongside his tiny squire Egg.

Taking place in an period when the Targaryen dynasty continues to hold the Iron Throne, the plot ensures combat preparation, knightly contests, and major clashes. Recollections of the final dragon linger in the thoughts of the living, and significant fates lie ahead for these unlikely companions.

This preview displays a feudal realm teeming with warriors, kings, attendants, commoners, and hints of supernatural aspects. Joining the cast are several nobles and key figures from the royal family.

This story is set one hundred years prior to the storyline of the mother show, and more than seventy years after the time period of the initial spinoff. Different from prior productions, this entry is expected to be shorter and possesses a distinct tone.

Production Approach

According to the series creator, the focus is centered on realism and everyday experiences. Rather than grand spectacle, the show intends to portray the difficulty of ancient times—the filth, the freezing conditions, and the physical strain of knighthood.
