Man Utd Completes Transfer of Germany Star Forward Lea Schuller

The Red Devils' women's football side has completed a major addition by acquiring Germany national team forward Lea Schuller who joins from the Bundesliga champions.

The experienced forward, who has signed a deal running until June 2029, is the club's second new arrival of the winter transfer period, following the arrival of defender Hanna Lundkvist.

A Proven Goalscorer

The player enjoyed a five-year spell at Bayern Munich, making over 100 appearances and helping them win four league titles.

On the international stage, her record is similarly formidable, having scored 54 goals in 82 appearances for Germany.

"From the first conversations I held with head coach Marc Skinner and the club, the ambitions of everyone here were very clear," commented Schuller.

She featured in the team that were beaten finalists to England at the 2022 European Championship and also won a third-place finish at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"There is still so much that I want to accomplish in my career, and I am convinced that Manchester United is the ideal environment for me," she added.

"I believe that the way the team plays of football will really suit my game. I am confident my attributes and experience can help us to realize our objectives both in England and in the European competition."

Strengthening for Europe

United are aiming to be busy in the transfer window as boss Marc Skinner looks to strengthen his squad for the latter stages of the top European competition.

They have also secured a contract extension with important playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, who has agreed until the end of the decade.
