Patrick Bamford Signs With Sheffield United After Leading Derogatory Songs About Coach Chris Wilder

Patrick Bamford is now a member of the Championship side just seven months following leading insulting taunts aimed at their manager, Wilder.

The 32-year-old striker, a free agent since leaving Leeds, has signed a agreement with the second-tier club in difficulty through the winter. His lengthy career at Elland Road was ended by mutual consent this past summer.

Wilder said at the time: “Spoke with Patrick yesterday and I have no problem at all with it. I’m not sure about the words used from a fellow pro! But I valued and admired him calling me.

“We had a short while and the same again I talked with Daniel Farke as well and had a half-hour chat with him and he's a great person, a top guy. Back in my playing days we used to give it and accept it and that is part and parcel of football at every level, even on Sunday league. I have absolutely no issue. I am cool with the situation and I told him that to Patrick.”

The forward made 18 appearances for Leeds last season however the former Nottingham Forest, Chelsea FC & Boro player has struggled with injury over the past few seasons.
