Springer contributed to the Astros claiming the championship in the 2017 season.
Canada's MLB team advanced to their first Fall Classic following the 1993 season by beating the Mariners in the final Game 7 of the AL Championship Series.
Behind 3-1, the star outfielder hit a three-run blast in the seventh frame, propelling the sole Canadian team in MLB to a 4-3 win in the seven-game series. Next up are the defending champions, the team that is the defending champions, in the forthcoming championship.
"I'm just so happy for everyone here, our city, our country," commented Springer, an integral part of the Astros team that secured the 2017 title. "It's truly an incredible feeling."
The veteran has now connected for 23 total post-season home runs, placing him third on the list behind Ramirez (29) and Altuve (twenty-seven).
"I can't think of anyone else on planet Earth that I'd prefer in that spot other than George Springer with his playoff prowess," noted manager John Schneider.
Seattle's team, after leading the series 2-0 and 3-2, remain the one club that has never reached in a championship series.
Mariners manager Dan Wilson said "certainly that it hurts" after his side's defeat at their home ballpark, but praised their work in the campaign.
"It's a special team. Sadly that we finished on the losing end of this game," he continued.
Toronto's team claimed the title on each of their earlier trips in 1992 and 1993, and will host the Los Angeles in the first game on Friday.
