The president said he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the parents of both soldiers of the state National Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump told journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”
Attendees gathered over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s government program to support policing efforts in Washington DC.
“She was the kind of student that instructors hoped for. She carried herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that encouraged those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the press. “She was kind, compassionate and always willing to assist people.”
Memorial plans for Sarah are yet to be finalized.
