The intense universe from Tom Clancy’s The Division will be translated into a dice-based role-playing experience. A partnership has been formed to create a TTRPG set within the franchise’s apocalyptic landscape. The project was revealed, with a funding drive planned to begin in April of 2026.
"This endeavor aims to deliver the series' unique suspense, tactical intensity, and memorable setting to the table, providing fans a fresh avenue to experience The Division through deep narrative and player-driven missions," states an announcement.
Launch products will include a beginner's box, core rulebooks, a Game Master screen, figurines, and various deluxe editions.
In this universe, a deadly virus called Green Poison was released in NYC, plunging the United States into turmoil. As the pandemic worsens, society crumbles and violent factions rise, turning the city into a warzone. To restore order, the government {activate|deploy] The Division, a secret cell of undercover operatives. That’s where the players enter the story.
Development on the RPG has been in progress for approximately three years, and it is confirmed to be complete. The forthcoming Kickstarter campaign will function as a preorder system to reach a broader market, specifically in North America. Manufacturing will start right after the campaign, with deliveries projected for the latter part of 2026.
A preview at the system reveals it employs d10s predominantly through its proprietary GRIS system, promoting a fast-paced and tactical style. Agents use skills or traits to assemble a handful of dice, typically from one to five d10s.
Fights stress positioning and environmental awareness, mirroring the video games. Factors like taking cover, elevation, or line of sight directly influence dice rolls. This system is designed to favor teamwork and smart positioning instead of simple statistics.
The way injuries is tracked introduces a compelling thematic twist. Agents have a wound threshold; sustaining too much damage weakens their effectiveness by decreasing the number of d10s.
A publicly available Quickstart Guide will be released in the near future. It contains a pre-made introductory scenario titled Ashes of Murray Hill. In this scenario, players lead the search for a missing medical team and work to stop an assault by the notorious Rikers faction, who have seized control of that NYC neighborhood. Further information and the full range of offerings are expected to be detailed closer to the campaign launch.
